My stop-loss could not be placed. What do I do?

The entry filled but Binance refused its stop order, or did not confirm it in time, so the position may be open without a stop; check it in the Binance app and set a stop or close it yourself.

The messages you can get:

What it means. The bot sends your stop right after the entry fills. If Binance refuses it, the position is open with no stop. A common reason is "Order would immediately trigger" (error -2021): by the time the stop arrived, a fast move had already taken the price past its level, which happens more often with a very tight stop. If Binance did not answer in time, the stop may or may not exist. Either way the bot does not close the position for you and does not send that stop again: closing or protecting it is your call.

What to do now:

  1. Open the position in the Binance app and look at its TP/SL.
  2. If there is no stop, set one there, or close the position if price is already past where you wanted out.
  3. If the refusal said the stop would trigger immediately and your stop is very tight, consider a wider one with /setStopLoss, inside your liquidation distance.

With /setStopType SINGLE each later entry brings its own stop, so the entry without one stays unprotected until you set it; with COMBINED the next entry's stop covers the whole position. More on stops: How does the stop-loss work? and Order would immediately trigger (-2021).
