Why does the bot say Enable Futures is off on my key?
Binance accepts the key but reports that Enable Futures is not ticked, so every futures order would be refused; tick it on the key in Binance API Management, or create a new key with it, then send /on.
The message you got: "Auto-trading stays off: your Binance key works, but Enable Futures is not ticked on it", or a warning that Enable Futures is off when you saved the key at /app/keys.
What it means. When you send /on, the bot reads your key's permissions from Binance once. The key can read your account, but Binance says it may not trade futures, so the bot keeps auto-trading off rather than switch on and have every order refused. On the keys page the key is still saved, with a warning, so you can fix it on Binance without pasting it again.
What to do:
- If you have never traded futures on Binance, open your Futures account first: Binance asks you to activate it once, with a short quiz.
- In Binance API Management, edit the key and tick Enable Futures. Leave Enable Withdrawals off and keep the IP restriction 91.99.78.29.
- Or create a new key that way and save it at /app/keys.
- Send
/onagain. If Binance now allows futures, auto-trading switches on.
Step by step: How do I connect my Binance API key?. If Binance refuses the key altogether, see Why did Binance refuse my key?.
