Some positions neither reach their target nor their stop for a long time. With a maximum hold time set, the bot closes a position it opened once it has been open that many hours since its first entry without reaching its target, with a market order, and cancels its take-profit and stop. Positions you opened by hand are never touched.
Examples
/setMaxHold 48
Maximum hold time updated to 48 hours.
/myMaxHold
Your Maximum hold time: 48 hours

Questions
From when are the hours counted?
From the position's first entry. Adds do not restart the clock.
Will it close positions I opened myself?
No. Only positions the bot opened are closed; a position you opened yourself is left alone. If you add to a position the bot opened, your add becomes part of that position and is closed with it.
Is it a good idea?
It is a tool with a trade-off. In our tests on past signals, a time limit protected the account in sharp market falls and cost money in ordinary markets, and shorter limits cost more. It also closes a position at whatever the price is then, which can be a loss.
Does it work right away?
Yes. Your value is saved at once and /myMaxHold shows it. Every position the bot opened that is already open longer than your new value is closed within minutes (the bot closes at most five positions a minute across all members, so it can take a little longer when many are due at once).
Why is this a Tier 3 setting?
It is one of the limits that come with the Tier 3 plan. Your plans and what they include: /plans.
