After a bad day you may want the bot to stop opening trades. With a daily loss limit set, once your realised loss since 00:00 UTC reaches that share of your futures wallet balance at 00:00 UTC, the bot skips every new entry, new coins and adds alike, until the next 00:00 UTC. Closing orders, take-profits and stops are never held back, so open positions are still managed. You get one message when the limit starts.
Examples
/setDailyLossLimit 5
Daily loss limit updated to 5%.
/setDailyLossLimit 2.5%
Daily loss limit updated to 2.5%.
/myDailyLossLimit
Your Daily loss limit: 5%
/lastsignals says which setting skipped a signal.

Questions
How is the loss counted?
It is your realised profit and loss since 00:00 UTC, after fees, as a share of your futures wallet balance at 00:00 UTC. A position that is still open and in the red does not count until it closes.
Does it close my positions?
No. It only stops new entries. Positions already open keep their take-profit and stop and close as they would have.
Is it a good idea?
It is a tool with a trade-off. In our tests on past signals, the entries a loss limit refuses after a bad day were often the ones that recovered, so limits often gave up more than they saved. Some members still want a fixed point at which the bot rests, and this gives them one.
Does it work right away?
Your value is saved at once and /myDailyLossLimit shows it. The bot applies it once the Tier 3 limits are are switched on; until then both commands add a line saying it is not in force yet.
Why is this a Tier 3 setting?
It is one of the limits that come with the Tier 3 plan. Your plans and what they include: /plans.
