What does the same-coin gap do?
It filters new signals on a coin you already hold: the bot takes another entry only if the new signal's entry is more than your gap (3% by default) away from your last entry; it never adds to a position on its own.
The bot only ever acts when a new signal fires. It does not buy a dip or average down because price moved.
When a new signal arrives on a coin you already hold:
- Short: it is taken only if the new entry is more than the gap above your last entry.
- Long: only if it is more than the gap below your last entry.
- Otherwise it is skipped.
So the gap limits how often the bot stacks entries on one coin. It cannot prevent a liquidation. Set it with /setDifference (0 turns the filter off); whether a second entry is allowed at all is Allow repeating signals.
