/setDrawdownBrake: trade a smaller size while your wallet is well below its peak

/setDrawdownBrake 10 50 makes new entries and adds use 50% of their usual size once your futures wallet is 10% or more below its peak, until it is back within 2% of the peak; off by default, Tier 3.

A drawdown brake halves your size in a drawdown until the wallet recovers, or uses whatever share you choose. The bot keeps the highest your futures wallet has been since you set the brake (its peak). Once your wallet is the first number's percent or more below that peak, every new entry and every add uses the second number's percent of its usual size, never less than 5 USDT. When your wallet is back within 2% of the peak, trades use their usual size again. Positions already open are never touched, and you get one message when the brake starts and one when it ends.

/myDrawdownBrake

It is not on now: the peak is 1,250 USDT, so it starts once your wallet is 10% below it, at 1,125 USDT or less.
/setDrawdownBrake off

Questions

Is it a good idea?

It is a survival setting, not a profit setting. In our tests on past signals, trading smaller while the account was well below its peak kept the account going through long slides, and it cost return when the market recovered, because the recovery is traded at the smaller size too. Past results guarantee nothing, and it does not make the signals more profitable.

How often does the bot check my wallet?

Every 15 minutes, from your futures wallet's margin balance (your wallet plus the profit or loss of open positions). The brake can start or end up to that long after your wallet crosses the line.

What if I move money out of my futures wallet?

A withdrawal or a transfer out lowers your wallet like a loss, so it can start the brake. Send /setDrawdownBrake again with your numbers: setting it again, the same numbers included, starts the peak afresh from your wallet at the next check.

Can I also stop adding to longs while it is on?

Yes, with /setNoLongAddsInDrawdown on. It acts only while the brake is on.

Why is this a Tier 3 setting?

It is one of the limits that come with the Tier 3 plan. Your plans and what they include: /plans.
