When BTC drops hard, most coins tend to drop with it. With the BTC guard, the bot holds new longs and adds to longs while BTC has fallen at least your value over the last hour or the last 24 hours; for shorts, the same while BTC has risen. You set up to four values, one for each side and each window. Your open positions, take-profits and stops stay exactly as they are.

Examples

/setBtcGuard longs 1h 3
BTC guard: longs after a 1-hour fall updated to 3%.
Your BTC guard: longs wait after BTC falls 3% in an hour

More:

/setBtcGuard longs 24h 8
/setBtcGuard shorts 1h 3
/setBtcGuard shorts 24h 8
/myBtcGuard
Your BTC guard: longs wait after BTC falls 3% in an hour or 8% in 24 hours; shorts wait after BTC rises 3% in an hour or 8% in 24 hours

Turn one value off with 0, or all four at once:

/setBtcGuard shorts 1h 0
/setBtcGuard off

/lastsignals says when the BTC guard skipped a signal. There is no separate message.

Questions

Where does BTC's move come from?

From BTCUSDT on Binance Futures. The 24-hour move is Binance's own 24-hour price change, read every few minutes. The one-hour move compares BTC's latest price with its price an hour earlier, read about once a minute while you have a one-hour value set.

Does it stop adds too?

Yes. While it holds a side, the bot opens no new coin on that side and adds nothing to the coins you already hold on it.

What if BTC's move cannot be read?

Then the side whose value needs it waits until the move is known again, because the bot never trades on a condition it cannot check. A side or window you did not set is never held back.

Does it close my positions?

No. It only holds new entries. Positions already open keep their take-profit and stop and close as they would have.

Is it a good idea?

It is a brake for sharp market moves, not a way to make more. It may keep you out of a slide, and it also skips the trades that would have recovered with the market. Past results guarantee nothing. /lastsignals shows what it skipped, so you can judge it on your own account.

Why is this a Tier 3 setting?

It is one of the limits that come with the Tier 3 plan. Your plans and what they include: /plans.
