Take-profit commands: type, merging and distance

/setTakeProfitType picks a limit order at the target or a trailing exit, /combineTakeProfits merges repeat entries into one take-profit, and on Tier 2 and 3 /setTakeProfitDistance moves your take-profit nearer or further than the target.

Command Values Starts at What it does
/setTakeProfitType LIMIT or TRAILING LIMIT LIMIT: a fixed order at the signal's target. TRAILING: once the target is reached, the exit follows the price and closes on a pullback. Which to choose: limit or trailing take-profit. /myTakeProfitType shows yours.
/combineTakeProfits yes or no yes When the bot adds to a coin you already hold, one take-profit closes the whole position at the size-weighted target, instead of one order per entry.

Take-profit distance (Tier 2 and 3)

Where your take-profit sits compared with the signal's target. 100% is at the target, as the signal says. 120% puts it 1.2 times as far from your entry, so the trade aims for more; 80% takes profit sooner. Only your own order moves: the signal and its published result keep the signal's target.

Command What it does
/takeProfitDistance Shows your distances. Everything starts at 100%.
/setTakeProfitDistance shorts 120 Sets one kind of trade, from 50% to 300% in steps of 10.
/setTakeProfitDistance reset Puts every take-profit back at the signal's target.

The kinds of trade you can set: longs or shorts, a strength (strength 3), a side and a strength (short strength 3), a signal name (Iron), or a side and a name (long Iron). When several fit one trade, the most specific wins: a side with a name first, then the name, then a side with a strength, then the strength, then the side.

A take-profit further away is reached less often, and a nearer one closes winners earlier: neither is better for everyone. The performance page scores every signal at its own target.
