A coin that has surged in a day can keep surging, which is the risk of being short. With this set, the bot skips a new short on a coin whose price is up by this percentage or more over the last 24 hours. Adds to a position you already hold are not affected, and longs are not affected.

Examples

/setShortSkipUp 20

/myShortSkipUp

Questions

Where does the 24-hour change come from?

From Binance's own 24-hour price change for the coin, read every few minutes together with the trading volume.

What if the change cannot be read?

The new coin is skipped, because the bot never trades on a condition it cannot check.

Is it a good idea?

It is a tool with a trade-off. In our tests on past signals, the shorts this skips after a large rise were often winners, so skipping them often cost more than it saved.

Does it work right away?

Your value is saved at once and /myShortSkipUp shows it. The bot applies it once the Tier 3 limits are are switched on; until then both commands add a line saying it is not in force yet.

Why is this a Tier 3 setting?

It is one of the limits that come with the Tier 3 plan. Your plans and what they include: /plans.
