Bot commands · Which signals are traded

/setPositionSide: trade longs, shorts or both

/setPositionSide chooses which signals HafizeBot trades for you: LONGONLY, SHORTONLY or BOTH, which is the default.

Every signal is a long or a short. /setPositionSide lets the bot take only one side, for example longs only if you never want to short.

Examples

/setPositionSide LONGONLY
Position side updated to LONGONLY.

Send it alone for the options:

Choose Position side. Options are: LONGONLY SHORTONLY BOTH
/myPositionSide
Your Position side: LONGONLY

A skipped signal reads like this in /lastsignals:

Oct 11 09:42 UTC ETHUSDT SHORT, strength 2: skipped: your direction setting does not take this side (/setPositionSide)

Values

Option The bot trades
BOTH longs and shorts (starting value)
LONGONLY long signals only
SHORTONLY short signals only

Questions

Is this the same as Binance's Hedge mode?

No. Hedge mode is a Binance account setting that lets you hold a long and a short on one coin at once; HafizeBot needs it off (One-way mode). /setPositionSide only decides which signals the bot takes. See one-way mode.

Can I trade fewer shorts instead of none?

On Tier 2 and 3, yes: /setSize shorts 50 trades shorts at half your position size, and /setRule shorts strength 2 off skips only the weaker shorts.
