A coin trading well above the price most of its day's trades were made at has already run up. With this set, the bot skips a new long when the coin's last price is this percentage or more above its average price of the last 24 hours. Adds to a position you already hold are not affected, and shorts are not affected.

Questions

Which average price?

Binance's own figure for the coin: the average price paid across all its trades over the last 24 hours, so a busy hour counts for more than a quiet one. It is read every few minutes together with the trading volume, and it is not the middle of the day's high and low.

How is this different from /setLongSkipUp?

/setLongSkipUp compares the price with 24 hours ago. This compares it with where the day's trading mostly happened, which can be far from the price a day ago.

What if the average cannot be read?

The new long is skipped, because the bot never trades on a condition it cannot check.

Is it a good idea?

It is a tool with a trade-off. Skipping a long skips its winning trades as well as its losing ones, and past results guarantee nothing. /lastsignals shows what it skipped, so you can judge it on your own account.

Does it work right away?

Your value is saved at once and /myLongSkipAboveAvg shows it. The bot checks it on the next long signal for a coin you do not hold.

Why is this a Tier 3 setting?

It is one of the limits that come with the Tier 3 plan. Your plans and what they include: /plans.
